Lindy Vogel is an essayist and recovering baby addict who writes about parenting, pregnancy, and modern femininity. She lives with bipolar disorder and a hereditary neuroendocrine cancer. While she adores her five sons and one daughter, her most compliant child is her parenting-humor publication, Sweary Mommy: Wiping Ass First and Taking Names Later.

A Navy brat, Lindy was born in Yokosuka, Japan. She attended Michigan State University after earning a valedictory scholarship and graduated in 2004 with a degree in Biochemistry.
